You DRAW? OMG, how cool! I'm a stick figure gal. Have always been fascinated by "you people. " :) I know you already have an accountability partner but I would love for you to check in on Twitter with what you are gaining from drawing over the next 6 months. AND for sure, we'll celebrate on my birthday in April. Deal?

Thanks for the support, Frank! #loveyou

  2. absolutely a deal my friend!

Congratulations on first video! You're so lovely – warm and engaging. My 6 month challenge: I will finish both books and be well into the next project.

  4. Is it wrong that all I could think of while watching your video is how LOVELY your skin looks?!

My six month project will be my personal appearance. I am not the most girlie girl going and I really want to change that. So six months from now my outsides will match my insides!

  5. Such a powerful thought. The possibilities are almost frightening. I will join you on this challenge. I will begin to take my next steps, just as I take my next breaths: full of trust, free from the worry that I won’t have the air I need to breathe. The air is there; it is always there, right?

      Always there. Promise. :)

Yippeee…so glad you'll be joining me. Thank YOU for being the inspiration behind the question. It really has hit people between the eyes on Twitter and I'm loving the DMs I've been getting.

We are going to have a wonderful time in TRUST.

      Love you, sweet pea!

  6. I'm going to challenge my bloggy gals to join your 6 month challenge too…!

  7. Lisa–I am so glad you did this vid. What a gift to see the person behind the writing!! You are encouraging me. What would I do….I'm tempted to say a lot of very lofty things…but I think I need time. I don't want to disappoint myself. Easily could be writing though- Have you read The Artist's Way? When I'm in a 'morning pages' groove it is …GOOD. xoxoxox

Have to give you props for the video as well. After yours went up, I knew that you were silently encouraging me to come out of hiding. :)

Funny you mention the Artist's Way. Morning pages have been an inconsistent practice for me about 2 years now, so they will be an integral part of my writing EVERY SINGLE DAY. I am also thinking about going back to read the book as well. Perhaps something we could do together?

The challenge doesn't have to be grandiose. Just something you would do if you really trusted in yourself. And it can be something different every day as well. It's in the conscious practice of trust that I think amazing things will emerge.

Hope you'll join us when you are ready. Much love to you, Goddess!

  8. Lisa, I want to do this. I want people to hold my feet to the fire though.

I want to write every day.

I want to post consistently on my blog, not every once in a while when I bust through the fears.

I want to launch my weekly emails (which will build my list, which they all say should be done). But more than anything, I want people to have fun with the emails I'm going to send out.

I want to develop and launch products and services that are really going to help my peoples.

But more than anything, I want to do all of this without feeling like it can't be done until it's perfect, or until I'm perfect, whichever it is my brain tries to tell me.

    So… I'm in!

Mary, so sorry it took me awhile to respond here. So glad you are joining me on this 6 month journey.

I got this quote today from a new friend on Twitter (@kaisoremekun): "Start a huge, foolish project like Noah. It makes absolutely no difference what people think of you."- Rumi

Write everyday, even though it's not "perfect."
Post consistently on your blog even though it's not "perfect."
Launch your weekly emails, even though they won't be "perfect."
Put out your 1st product even though it won't be "perfect."

The #6monthchallenge is here to give you all the space you need to take action on your voice of trust.

And I will kick your butt when you need it. lol

Love the idea of your six month challenge. Something has been swimming around in my head for a while that is similar…a commitment connected to trust. This has been a great reminder to take a step closer to the idea despite the crazy amount of fear it brings up. Thanks for sharing your journey.
