Say it is(nt) so
We are funny creatures.
When things are going bad, we become afraid that we may never know good again.
And when things are going well, we silently wait for the bomb to drop.
Hmmm…..
I had an amazing a week.
A week where, if I didn’t know better
, I’d swear the Universe is conspiring…IN MY FAVOR.
Say it isn’t so.
A course I wanted (and have been saving up for) went on sale. A pay-what-you-can sale.
Swwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeettttttttttt.
I got the coolest birthday gift from my best friend, complete with the most beautiful card that read “A girlfriend is a sister you choose.”
How awesome is that?
A person I’d been dying to work with asked me to support her at an upcoming live event here in Saint Louis.
Cool beans.
But wait…
She’s also allowing me to participate. In exchange for my services.
What?????????????
I’m going to get to spend the weekend with some amazing coaches I’ve admired from a distance AND up my coaching game.
Somebody pinch me.
Then, I was invited to participate in a blog contest for the best coaching blogs of 2010. THIS blog. The blog that I keep but don’t promote.
Uh-huh.
(I sure hope you’ll vote for me
)
And if that wasn’t enough…
(drum roll, please)
I found out that my mother-in-law will NOT be visiting next month.
PRAIZE YA JEEZUS!!!!
(I was doin’ a serious holy ghost dance on that one, let me tell you.)
The best part about it all was that I had stopped looking for the bomb to drop.
I did not question the good.
I didn’t go into fear that something bad was around the corner.
I just let in all in.
With all the gratitude in my heart.
And finally it sunk in…
When things went south a few years back, I looked for evidence everywhere that my life was falling apart. When something good happened, I was grateful, but believed it was short-lived.
And guess what?
It always was.
Now, with everything stripped away, with nothing left to lose, all I can see is how great what I do have really is.
And I keep getting more of it.
Say it isn’t so.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Life is good.
As long as you’re looking for proof.
What are looking for in life? What do you expect to see today? Tomorrow?
Remember, what you focus on expands.
Come back and let me know what shows up this week.
You deserve to celebrate your good. Expect it.
I’m off to celebrate YOU. Thanks for being here. I LOVE YOU!
Say it IS so.
Big hugs,
The Resident Diva
